Proposal

introduction-
For my final major project I will be producing a collaborative 5 track EP taking influence from modern production techniques and implementing these techniques throughout.

Context-
I am a new artist/producer/songwriter However most of my work has been producer focused so this project will allow me to develop as an artist and as a songwriter because it will demand me to use these skills.

Outline Research-
in this project I am going to be investigating modern production techniques and song writing techniques and how they can be achieved. To do this I will study and research into modern producers "Metro-Boomin","Noah'40' Shebib" and Travis Scott  I will be presenting my research in the form of a short EP along with weekly updates and case studies. I will also be collaborating on the project featuring a couple other artists on the EP. I will Also be studying songwriters such as Kendrick Lamar and J.cole and study their use of concept and how they effectively tell a story in their music.

Methodology-
I will need to improve my production skills to create a more modern sound in my EP. one way I will do this is by finding Metro-Boomin's drum kits and using them in my music instead of the logic stock sounds. I will Also Improve my production techniques by looking at specific production techniques from people trying to make music in the style of Metro-Boomin

Case Study-

These songs are some examples of the type of sound that i am going for in my music. I chose these examples becaus they are at the top i the genre that i am focusing on recreating, therefore they are the highest examples of modern production.
