Music video prep (technical theatre)
In todays lesson we were searching for appropriate venues to film. we decided to film in kings cross outside of the Google headquarters. we had previously decided to film it in London bridge but we realized it would be too much of a safety hazard so we changed the location. We chose the location outside kings cross because it has a very aesthetic look. it has some tree's, grass areas, tables and chairs and a fountain running through the middle. the scenery matched the theme about romance and because it looked so nice, it would contrast more with the scene.

Tech Theatre Muisc Video
In todays lesson we worked in pairs and created a storyboard. I worked with Sara. we created a concept about conflict within a relationship. we had to plan out what should take place with the timings. we decided to focus on using lots of abstract scenes with slow motion and close ups, to emphasize the emotion and feeling of the characters in the piece. The song for this piece is "OK Alright by travis scott"

Technical Theatre
In todays lesson we started by looking at different colours and writing down what they make you think about. For example the colour Red is linked with passion. This task helped us with the rest of todays lesson because we looked at Justin Timberlake's song-Cant Stop The Feeling and we also had to plan how we would sequence lights and audio visuals and effects to the song. we were shown an example from last year which showed us the standard that we would have to sequence our lights to. it was also helpful as it demonstrated how we should highlight certain elements during the sequence for example a drum roll or trumpet solo. we then were put in to groups and listened to the song and then figured out what we would do and what timings we would do it. in our sequence we will be incorporating a lot of different skills learnt so far. for example using patterns on the moving lights and using the Gogo's. our display will also use a wide variety of different lights for example side lights, Fresnel's and spotlights.

Technical theatre lesson one
In todays lesson we learnt about the different types of lights such as fresnels, profiles, floods ETC. we focused more specifically on profiles. where we learnt how to safely and effectively rig them. first you hook the G-clamp onto the bar and then screw it tightly. then you use the safety hook/chain onto the bar as an extra safety procedure. afterwards you take the wire and wrap it over the bar so it is away from the heat to prevent any dangers. connect the plug to the plug socket. finally adjust the angle of the light and then the lens focus and shape.
